Rewind Button Girl: Threats and vandalism are not... →
Maybe not what I would write, but it does touch on the need for a re-enforced community. We are one, so let’s act like one. Let’s care for each other with compassion and love. Support those wrongfully accused and build a stronger sense of belonging. Let us recognize our privileges and use that recognition constructively. As a campus community our energy needs to change to be inclusive...

And when the wind blows high and clear →
It’s wonderful to be surround by a loving community. This is what makes me grow. Song, food, bikerides, story time, hugs, laughter and joy. Knowing what’s right. Exploring new things. Being open to love. Loving all the comes close to me, and allowing myself to be vulnerable. This life is meant to be an adventure.

No Facebook (and other updates)
Shalom to all: So many updates, I’ll start with this. I’m taking a break from Facebook for a little while. I’m not taking a break from all networking (as you can see here), just no facebook. I needed a change in my life, and I was using facebook too much. Now, I’m not sure for how long this will be, all I know is that it’s been good not refreshing my facebook page...

March On Blair Mountain: June 4-12, 2011
It’s not easy to leave on a Saturday afternoon at Wilson during the summer. Yet, as a bid my fellow rope swingers goodbye, I knew I was setting out on a journey. The week of the march went by so quickly it’s hard to describe all the emotions and feelings. I arrived on Saturday night, a little dazed, it was late and wake up was early so off to bed I went (after greeting some Wilson friends that I...

Appalachia Rising
“We are Rising!” The third weekend of September, 2010, this is how I felt. For me, being apart of a movement/ cause has always made be feel good. Not in the sense that I am doing good for someone/something else, but in the sense that I am apart of something. Over all the weekend of Appalachia Rising was well organized, all logistics where covered. I now have a much better sense of what it takes...

Firsts at Warren Wilson College
As I move forward so will this blog. I will now try to reflect and share my experiences of college life. I am enrolled, and living on campus, at Warren Wilson College, of Asheville, NC. The college has a triad perspective to college life: academics, work, and service. I’m here now, turning towards the end of the third week here; my second school week. I am more than happy in my new community. I...
